幼少よりピアノを習う。11歳〜高校時代はマーチングバンドでパーカッションを演奏する。また高校時代はロックバンドでボーカルを担当する。
中学生の頃より各国の民族音楽に興味を持ち、聴き始める。
アメリカ・ミシガン州立ウェインステート大学にて作曲を（James Hartway氏に師事）、その後ドイツミュンヘン音楽・演劇大学にてTV・映画音楽作曲（Norbert Schneider氏に師事）を学ぶ。
1999年よりバンド tov (トブ) を結成。
クラシック、ロック、エスニック、ポップスを融合させた音楽にダンスや映像を交えた作品を創作する。
2004年よりかねてから興味のあったベリーダンスを小松芳アラビア舞踊団にて学び始める。現在ダンサー名「玲音（Leon）」として活動中。
2021年に tov の13年振りライブを行う。

「劇団カデンツ(現：劇団 Re-membered)」他、ダンスカンパニーなどに楽曲を提供。
ドキュメンタリーフィルム「Bavarian Notebook」(監督:Veit Bastian, 2004) の音楽担当。
富士フィルム FinePix 欧州向け展示会用映像の音楽制作。
また tov は都内各地のライブハウスやコンサートホール等で演奏活動を行う。
Megumi started taking the Piano lesson at the age of 4. She played percussion in Elementary ~ High school marching band. She was also in a rock band as a lead vocalist.
She became interested in Ethnic music at around the age of 13.
Megumi graduated from Wayne State University with BA in Music composition (studied under Dr. James Hartway). After that, she went to College of Music and Theater Munich (studied under Dr. Norbert J. Schneider) and graduated with BA in Composition for TV and film.
In 1999, Megumi formed her own band named "tov". Mixture of classical, rock, ethnic, and pop music taste, the band not only played by themselves but collaborated with dancers and other forms of arts.
In 2004, Megumi decided to fulfill her dream which she had since she was very young - to become a dancer. And in some kind of fate, she started learning belly dance at Karima Arabian Dance Company in Tokyo. She has now been dancing and teaching belly dance under the dancer name of "Leon."
Along with being a belly dancer, tov held a perfomance in 2021 after 13 years of hiatus.

Music for a documentary film "Bavarian notebook (director: Veit Bastian, 2004)".
Music for the introductory film of "Fuji Film Fine pix" in an international conference.
Also, tov has played at many live houses and concert halls in Tokyo area.
